We Must Not Quit!

We Must Not Quit!

After several weeks of participating in the IPODFITNESSCENTER.com Bootcamp and faithfully detoxing, hydrating, exercising, eating well and taking supplements, I feel great, I sleep much better, I am energized after exercising but I am not losing weight as I had hoped.

My expectation was to drop at least 6 pounds, fit in my clothes better and not be ravenously hungry in the mid afternoon, which is my weakest time of the day.  So far, after three weeks, I have gained weight, still feel ravenously hungry around 3:30 pm and my clothes are still tight!

Okay, I am discouraged and yesterday had a chocolate ice cream cone with my daughter.  What the heck, I thought since to date my efforts have not produced the expected results.  After finishing the yummy treat, I started thinking about not giving in to my cravings or defeat.  Just maybe, over the next two weeks, I will see improvement!  Maybe it is right around the corner and if I sabotage it now, I will never see the success!

My point is when we feel defeated; we must not quit!  I have this poem on my refrigerator you all have probably read it but I want to share it with you to inspire all of us to keep on going!

When things go wrong as they sometimes will.
When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill.
When funds are low and the debts are high.
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh.
When care is pressing you down a bit.
Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns.
As everyone of us sometimes learns.
And many a failure turns about.
When he might have won had he stuck it out:
Don’t give up though the pace seems slow –
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is failure turned inside out –
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt
And you never can tell how close you are.
It may be near when it seems so far:
So stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit –
It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.
