Walt Disney World Marathon 2008

Wow!!! What a year 2008 has been so far. My husband and I have a achieved a lifetime goal. We ran the WDW 2008 Marathon on Sunday. It was awesome!!! We ran it with about 18,000 of our closest friends!!! Our day started about 2:30 that morning, but it was worth it! The medal is gorgeous and the lifetime of bragging rights is priceless!! We are now in the elite group of Marathoners!!!! I encourage all of you to make a marathon one of your goals and Disney World does an outstanding job of making it alot of fun.... I would recommend this one to anyone... I got my picture taken with Mickey at mile 18. Yeah I am excited!!! When the volunteer puts that medal around your neck at the end you can't help but get emotional... That feeling is something I will never forget. Congrats Melba to you and your Husband. You've done an amazing job. It was a little hot and just a tad humid that day. Wear that medal with Mickey pride.
