Happy Belated Thanksgiving!
We ahve so much to be Thankful for!!
My friend Joy sent me the Thanksgiving alphabet which her daughter Caris wrote and I wanted to share it with you. I thought it was a really great idea. John and I thought it would be fun to do 1 letter a day starting today. That will bring us to Christmas Eve.
Have a great day!

In honor of this autumn holiday, I wanted to take time to reflect on what I am thankful for. To do this, I decided to use a tradition my family does each Thanksgiving; we go through the alphabet and list something that begins with each letter. Without further ado, let me present to you my heartfelt (and bit zany) Thanksgiving alphabet.
A Day to be Thankful
Books with plenty of adventure, action, and good morals
Creativity that every individual has been given
Don Wilson and the dedicated CCV staff
Eyes to see and ears to hear
Freedom in America
God’s promises that never fail
Hope through Jesus Christ
Ice cream and other simple pleasures
Journaling, the gift of writing, and the English language
Kids and the lessons we can learn from their innocence
Laughter, smiles, and joy we can share
Military—through their sacrifices America remains free
New beginnings, including new days and rebirth in Christ
Optimism that cannot be stopped
People of Christian influence whether they be famous or not
Quiet times we can share with God
Resurrection of Christ that distinguishes Christianity from all other religions
Sisters and brother whether they be biological or from our church family
Teachers who encourage and inspire us
Unchangeable qualities of God
Vacations and the wonderful memories we make
Words of encouragement when we’re feeling blue
X-rays (bet you didn’t see that coming!) and other medical accomplishments
Youth who are on fire for God
Zebras, although I’m more partial to horses
As we sit around the table this Thanksgiving, let’s not gorge ourselves with food, but feast on the blessings God has bestowed upon us. Now grab a piece of paper and make your own Thanksgiving alphabet (and maybe a new tradition as well)!
