The Best and Worst of Times

We are currently going through some of the best and worst of times in our family. The best of times includes the rapidly approaching wedding of my oldest Stepson to a wonderful young women who is a teacher in a Charter School in Milwaukee. We have also celebrated my youngest Stepson's graduaton from college a few weeks ago. We are also thankful for the fact that we are both solidly employed as there are many people losing their jobs in the area. GM has annonced they will be closing the assembly plant in Janesville, WI which is about 40 miles from here.

The Value of Friends

As I looked out of our front window this Sunday Morning (it had recently snowed over night) I noticed that someone had started to shovel off our driveway. At that time I could not see anyone from my viewing point. It wasn't long and I could see that it was Jerry Esser. This was a very nice surprise. I had some knee repair done earlier in the week and Jerry just decided to come over and help us out. It was VERY MUCH appreciated. So I would like to publicly say THANKS JERRY.

Looking for replacement sensor

After about 550 miles of walking the highways , byways and malls. My sensor has counted its last step. After checking many retail outlets looking for a replacement sensor, I have been told by all of them that I would need to buy a whole new kit. I then did find a replacement sensor on the Nike site, only to discover that by the time I add shipping and tax that I would spend nearly as much as if I bought the whole kit at the mall.

500 Miles and Still Going, and Going, and Going..........

My Wife sometimes refers to me as the Energizer Bunny, wheres as I just keep going, and going and going......

I recently hit the 500 mile mark with the I-Pod. I truly believe that if it would not have been for this website, that side of my competitiveness would not have surfaced.

I first started walking with the I-Pod, (after much frustration trying to learn how to use it) about the 1st of April and have missed only a few days since then where I did not walk at all.

Mall walk begins with I-Pod being DOA.

Walk / Run History

Lately it seems that my I-Pod does not retain the history of my walks. When I attempt to look at my history I get the screen that says something like no stored history, but then it will "reload" the history of my walks.

Is anyone else experiencing this? If so is there something I can do tp prevent from always tempoarily losing the history?

I suspect probable foul play

The following message has been edited from is original email format as the smileys used there where not available in the blog entry, therefore some of the intended humor may have been lost in translation. I attempted to copy and paste the original smileys however that was unsuccessful.

. Some of the Guys may have received that message earlier today in the traveling "This Is Not Over" email.

We Three Tims or Tim to the Power of Three

Just thought I would point out that the FIRST THREE people to load a walk/ run  today 6/16 all had the first name TimCool

I-Pod Wars Next Generaration

OK, so I am combining two different Science Fiction Movies and or TV Shows, but after all this is my Blog Entry.

In a Galaxy NOT So Very Far Far Away. In the Land of Chesse , Cows, The Green Bay Packers and Beer.

I wanted to bring everyone up to speed as I move forward with my I-Pod Wars, and my now VICTORY. It appears that I lost a few BATTLES but eventually I did win the WAR.

A Case of "Consumer Beware" or The Continuing Frustrations of the Second I-Pod"

For those of you following the frustrations I had experienced first learning how to use my I-Pod, and then as the frustrations continue with the second I-Pod I was attempting to set up so my wife could join in on the May Parti.

My step children all went together to get their Mom an I-Pod for Mother's Day. I was then going to give Sue the Nike Link I won from downloading the 1000th run/walk onto the VitaLifer site.

Second I-Pod HELP

I am attempting to set up a second I-pod for my wife, so the she can join in on the fun of walking with us. Is anyone else using 2 I-pods with just 1 I-Tunes account. If so can you tell me how to set it up.

When I plugged in the new I-Pod to charge it NOTHING happened. I did read in their own manual that it may take 30 minutes for the computer to recognize the I-Pod if it was totally uncharged. But still nothing happened to indicate it was charging after 30 minutes.

Thanks for the help. Desperately Struggling AGAIN.

Century Mark, Re-Blog

Due to the site going down this past weekend my most recent blog entries were "LOST IN SPACE" (I guess that is why we beta test) So I will attempt to recreate my entry to the best of my late night ability.

On Saturday afternoon this past weekend, I too went over the Century mark, that does not mean I am 100 years old, even though some days I may feel like it.

But rather I reached the 100 mile mark since the start of using my I-Pod. I then received the Congrats, from the Nike-Plus website.
