Exercise For People Over 50
Submitted by Marilyn Parker on Wed, 09/10/2008 - 10:34am.Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side. With a 5-lb. potato sack in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, and then relax. Each day you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer. After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb. potato sacks. Then try 50-lb potato sacks and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than 1 full minute.
Get to Know My Buddy
This is a great opportunity to let you know how much I enjoy the VitaLife Fitness Center. The information about our products is very helpful. I particularly like the motivation I get to keep going with my walking. I try to walk at least two 15-minutes miles five days a week, and am trying to be more aware of eating healthier foods. My goal is to lose weight and feel more energetic. To answer the other questions, my favorite color is sky blue. My favorite desert is a chocolate brownie with walnuts, topped with vanilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce.

GALS
I will be out of town until next Wednesday. I will do my best to walk every day, but it won't get into the system until I return. I'm looking forward to seeing my grandchildren in Connectiut. Joel will have to rough it without me.
We can do it!
Submitted by Marilyn Parker on Fri, 06/08/2007 - 9:42am.I plan to walk at least 4 miles every day. Next week I will be flying to Connecticut to see my grandchildren. I will walk, but won't be able to download until I return on the 19th.
GO GALS!
Can I brag a little?
Lance Armstrong came on today to tell me I did my personal best by walking 4.11 miles at a rate of 14:58/miles per minute!
My First Blog
I think this accountability is a good thing. It makes me get out and walk so as not to let the team down. I'm looking forward to meeting y'all at the conference in June. We plan to be there Friday afternoon with dish to share. (Probably fruit salad)
I got to talk to my walking "buddy" on the telephone today. I'm looking forward to a great friendship with Barbara.
